Fink的最新EP《Sort of Versions》已经由不插店发行，而Fink也将在5天后踏上他首次中国巡演的行程。
11月5日9点，在北京鼓楼东大街的Mao Livehouse，Fink将举行他在中国的首个专场，嘉宾为万晓利。这也是我们第一次主持外国音乐人的国内专场，我们也无比期待。

FINK的音乐，如果摆脱了语言的限制，我觉得很苍白，音乐如同其他许多艺术作品，很大程度上是靠语言吃饭的，万晓利把他歌改成英文唱给外国人听未必会引起共鸣，因为我们生活在截然不同的两个世界里，我们不用FINK那样的思考方式，如果硬要给FINK一个定义，那么这个定义就是：文艺。虽然现在中国人也很文艺，但中国人还是习惯一种直接、庸俗的表达方式，FINK在中国没有市场，不过每个人的思想都应该是值得尊重的，我尊重FINK的思想，但我绝不会认同。

前半部分基本同意，但后面说什么“中国人还是习惯一种直接、庸俗的表达方式”，完全不能接受，实际是中国人的表达方式很含蓄，像周云蓬、白水直接会用很多诗歌做歌词，怎么会庸俗？！简直太扯淡了~~~

Being asked about the feeling I listened to Fink’s at first time, yeah, like walking in the sun with lovely breeze. Though I more likely to go through them one by one when I pack up a journey or plan a sailing weekend, I should say I did start to think and look back a lot into those lyrics.
Since we realize where we live will never feel like home, there’s always something in the place, just like a street name, a number shown on the electronic clock, a familiar voice, reminding us about our old stories, youth and regrets. No doubt, folks did have such magic to work on me. Still remembering those melting spring afternoons, friends and I went through Jack Jason’s and Fink’s albums one after another.
To the outside world, Britain could be a country of Oliver Twist, a festival, a castle, a university, a tin of shortbread or a legend of history. But to I myself, it’s the memory of my best youth, a period of unforgettable study, and more important, an enlightenment of British music.
We were longing for a journey to the other side of the sea when young, probably didn’t sufficiently tell how life is there and even used to complain about the weather and loneliness. But as time passing by, when looking back, there are special things all along the way, all together we can call it “this is the thing”. I was touched by that song named alike a lot.
It won’t be happier than going to a gig with friends, where we can enjoy and sing along our favorite songs quietly. Love Fink’s guitar performance, actually it is a bit different from other folk artists I like. Quiet floating with strong emotional reflection. They set free my passion of folk, but also allow me to settle a while into my own comfortable zone. This is why I feel your songs work on me.

After sitting through the new EP of FINK,i was puzzled with FINK’s Expression , for that aroud the whole Vidieo,the hero who FINK acted never made any eye countact with the heroine,why ,between the two,there is too deep love?or an ending romance?
this is the thing!the love between them is too much or too remote?
and ,as i know,FINK is the few singer who takes living show more important than releasing the new album , what his most great acquisition during his living show? the reaction with the fans? the happiness that impromptu gave you? or something else?
It’s said that most of the folk singer is poet too,how do you imagine that you ‘re a poet?in your eyes,you think so or not?why?
i love FINK’s music, wish him a nice music journey in China!

In short it is a good album, although, somehow i’d prefer watching a live in MAO and hope fink could give audiences a brand fresh feeling

除了民谣的精神，还有一种东西叫民谣的情绪，fink这张ep把这种情绪拿捏到了一种高度，精神比较像骨头，情绪比较像血液，粘粘的，还热乎乎的，一股一股带动着心跳，这就是我听的感受。

It’s an interesting experience for me to hear these acoustic songs in the new EP right after listening to their original versions in Sort of Revolution several times. The songs are stripped of their electronic skin and what remains is the core: the irresistable beauty of melody, and the contradiction between fragility and fortitude in Fink’s voice.
But what I love the most about this EP is the sense of space he tries to put in. Lots of acoustic music by other artists tend to get bald the tedious, yet here Fink has managed to make the songs sound grand and spacious. He has left a lot of room for the listeners to fill in, either with your imagination or with your memories evoked by the music. I hope I can get the same feelings from his show this Thursday.

I’m listening to Fink’s new EP now. I have to admit that it’s the first time to hear his songs. His music might sound quiet at first, but the emotion and intention involved are very fierce, which are truly fascinating. He is refered to as an ambient techno trip-hop artist, yet to me, the root of his works is folk music.
His musis also sounds visual to me. With his songs, I often got the feelings as if I was in a dark tunnel and kind of lost in it. I’m not sure if it is what he wanted to depict, but that’s just how I felt. Anyway, I do enjoy his new EP and other albums a lot.

Many people say that Fink and Jose Gonzales sound alike. I say it’s superfacial to think so. Though part of their music have something in common, such as the strong pitch of the guitar, Fink’s songs are distinctive wich the electro part added in. And the way he expressed his feelings is slow and indirect.
Even when it comes to accoustic songs in this new EP, Fink’s features are very of his own style and amazing. It’s not reliant on the basic accoustic chords that you’ve heard for years to fill out the songs. At the same time it appears to be easy listening, but also intriguing and layerful enough for you to want to listen closer.
I like his music and I’m looking forward to his live performance.

Fink, a so special folk musician from england, I love the feeling of soft tone of the songs, i love the taste of the ambiguous words. So happy he can come to China to play, i look forward to seeing him…

有点跑题，我想提一下对不插店的意见
现在不插店的发展方向似乎有些背离最初，刻意追求多元化，无论是艺人的国籍、类型、风格，或是音乐、多媒体、影像等等等等。我想喜欢这里的人，更多是被最初那几张简单但充满力量的专辑吸引来的。但现在，至少我越来越觉得有些陌生
个人看法，没有恶意：）
也希望不插店能越来越好
